Jarno D'Hauw
I was born in Ghent on 14 September 2003. Since I was little, I have always been passionate about motorsports, going to the 24 Hours of Spa and Zolder together with my dad almost every year. Even though I’ve been a fan for a long time, I only started racing myself in summer 2019. I have spent many days on track with my coach Jeffrey Van Hooydonk and my dad to train and prepare to be as good as possible for my debut season (season 2021). As a person, I am really driven, always want to be the best and get the best out of myself. I’m a perfectionist, and I know what I want to achieve in racing, becoming a factory driver.
With Cédric Wauters' help introducing me to the team and the tremendous confidence and trust from Mario Martlé, team Totaalplan Racing, I got the incredible chance of starting my debut season in a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo in the Belcar series. Truly a dream that comes true, and I can not wait to get it started!
I also offer to coach on track. The coaching could be in any car, but most preferably in the supercars or GT race cars. Last year I started coaching for DreamDrive by Jeffrey Van Hooydonk at track-days, which went remarkably well. I intend to start doing this more often since I like it. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me about this matter!
Simracing is a really useful tool for a racing driver. For me, it’s where I learned the ropes all by myself on GT sport well before I started racing. Later I switched to Iracing, at this moment probably one of the best simulators out there. Now it’s where I still try to improve myself to get as much time on the track as possible and try to keep as sharp as I can for real racing! As of 8th of april I joined the williams esports iRacing team, I'm looking forward to the upcoming races!
